Having an open curriculum allows us to create a complex experience of what design entails. We are able to give a college-like problem-base-learning (PBL) experience following the architecture school tradition of studio courses. We take students from conceptual development projects and lessons, to how those concepts morph into ideas through different communication devises such as sketching, model making, technical and free-hand drawings, etc. In between, we touch local and international topics about history, styles, trends, social and cultural elements, environmental and geographical aspects of a context; in essence, the human experience.
