INTERIOR DESIGN

Our Interior Design class takes into account the diversity of our population when it comes to our curriculum. Our students live in different settings, from single family dwellings to multi-family apartment complexes in humble neighborhoods. We give the same opportunities to our native students, our refugees and immigrants, and all who want to learn the basics of design. We want to make it clear that we DESIRE to serve all, by differentiating among them according to their interests and skills.

We cover the basics of interior design or Interior Architecture in a semester. Balancing knowledge and engagement, we introduce students to the following concepts and ideas:

- The Design Process

- Residential and Commercial Design

- Space Re-Design

- Colors, Textures, Patterns, and Materials

- Precedents and Case Studies

- Careers

We are always in search of professionals to visit our class or to take us to their offices or projects. We have worked with several licensed Interior Designers who have come to give desk critique and speak to our students, as well as developed projects with us.
