When learning how to design we start by studying how to communicate ideas through graphic representation. Students are able to express how they understand or feel about the most important things in their lives. We explore the effect that different types of lines, volumes and objects have in a composition. Over all this project helps students at different levels understand that Architecture and Design in general can possess layers of information and meanings, which makes them artists, poets and philosophers to a certain extent when designing spaces and it's elements.
CONCEPTUAL

Concept development is one of the most basic steps in architectural design. Yet, it is one of the more complex steps to conceive, understand and explain. R-Studio exposes students to simple ideas that have the potential to become the reason behind design decisions. We stress the need to look deeper into one's interests, experiences, knowledge, etc. in order to give meaning to a project. Design depends on concept development, just as architecture depends on quality design.
